Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Manager to support the successful delivery of technology-driven initiatives at Osoobe Ltd. The Junior PM will assist in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing multiple concurrent projects—ranging from internal systems development to client-facing platforms. This role is ideal for someone with foundational project management experience or education who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

📌 Project Coordination & Execution

• Support the creation and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and status reports.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects.
• Track and manage project tasks, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies using project management tools (e.g., GitLab, Trello, or Asana).
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify that deliverables meet business requirements and are completed in an acceptable manner.

📋 Documentation & Communication

• Document meeting notes, action items, and project decisions.
• Assist with creating project requirement documents, scopes of work, and change logs.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, providing timely updates on progress or risks.

📊 Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Support risk identification and mitigation tracking.
• Prepare regular project performance reports and dashboards for review.

🤝 Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Work closely with developers, designers, QA, and business units to gather requirements and ensure successful outcomes.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

🌍 Community Engagement & Event Support (Caribbean Tech Connect)

As part of Osoobe Ltd’s commitment to tech education and community building, the Junior Project Manager will also:

• Assist in planning and executing events, workshops, webinars, and hackathons organized by Caribbean Tech Connect.
• Coordinate logistics including venues, virtual platforms, guest speakers, registration, and communications.
• Collaborate with volunteers, partner organizations, and sponsors to ensure smooth delivery of events.
• Create post-event reports, feedback summaries, and insights to support continuous improvement.
• Promote events through social media, newsletters, and local developer communities.

Requirements

🎓 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or a related field (or final year student).
• 0–2 years of experience in a project coordination, administrative, or entry-level PM role.
• Any project management certification (CAPM, PMP, or Agile/Scrum) is a plus.

💼 Technical & Soft Skills

• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset.
• Passion for community building and outreach is a strong plus.
